Pig Diving Discovered in China

To "improve the pork"

Pig Diving Discovered in China

(16/11/2012) Pigs are being forced to dive into a river during a 'training session' in Jinzhou town, central China's Hunan province.

Local pig farmers are training their swine to dive and swim to boost their immunity, increase their appetite and speed up their growth. Villager Huang Demin trains his pigs to swim because he says that the meat they produce is of better quality and taste - making it three times more expensive than ordinary pork.

Unsurprisingly, pig diving has also become something of a local tourist attraction.
