Mesmerising Architectural Patterns

Mesmerising Architectural Patterns

Mesmerising Architectural Patterns
29 January 2014

Many of us take the same route to work every day, passing - and usually ignoring - the same buildings, never really stopping to notice the incredible architecture that lies all around us - even in buildings that we may not necessarily associate with elegance and design.

However, Alexander Jacques, an artistic director from Paris, has decided to reappraise the structures in three cities, by choosing to "observe the facades of buildings from the world's largest cities with a new eye". He has taken a series of fantastic photos showcasing buildings in Paris, New York and Brisbane from a different angle to that which we would normally see them and, in the process, revealing the patterns, and hidden beauty within them.

View our favourites below; and for more information and new additions to his Architectural Pattern series, visit its Facebook page, website, or Tumblr. You can also buy prints of the images from this shop.
