It's a debate you probably started a while ago. As in, back when Byker Grove was still the pinnacle of television drama and mobile phones were something Tomorrow's World went gooey over.
Who is the best Marvel character?
Someone would always back Dr Xavier, claiming he'd be about to think anyone to death before they even so much as poked his wheelchair - before a well-read nerd would point out Magneto's helmet defence against such line of attack. An impassioned speech would be given on the lethal qualities of Wolverine, countered by an argument that demi-god Thor would be the hardest to defeat.
Despite their individual merits, the arguments would usually trail off in the face of more pressing matters, like a passing ice cream truck or stray football.
