Man Invited on News To Defend Edward Snowden Defends Edward Scissorhands Instead

If you ever thought the ridiculous demands of the rolling 24-hour news cycle had got out of hand - well, here's a bit more proof.

Twitter comedian Jon Hendren was invited on to US Cable channel HLN's The Daily Share to discuss the morality of the actions of FBI worker-turned-informant Edward Snowden.

However, he got bored and decided to talk about Edward Scissorhands instead. Despite mentioning the fact that he has scissors for hands, the news anchor continued on, oblivious to the references to a classic nineties movie rather than a possible enemy of the state.

Hendren has since said that he has 'no clue' why he was invited on to the show, and said that the idea to switch the discussion, "Came up pretty quickly after I got the email. I tend to get the two confused anyway."
