Karl Lagerfeld’s Cat Made Over £2m Last Year

The high-end world of animal modelling pays an obscene amount to its non-human stars, and someone’s just let the cat out of the bag. A black, leather luxury bag to be precise.

Begloved fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has just revealed that last year his own cat earned a mindboggling £2,172,652. We’re not sure how one would go about purrcuring a bank account as a four-legged fur-ball, either, but that’s the amount Lagerfeld says she has to her name. Choupette, if you’re wondering.

But then - you might think - a cat with a name as regal as that one surely deserves to command such high figure with which to blow on plastic toys and Felix cat food? Well, just wait until we tell you that the sum was secured with all but two shoots: one for Japanese beauty brand Shu Uemura; the other for Vauxhall’s 2015 Corsa Calendar - it can’t even drive!

“I don’t allow her to do foodstuffs and things like this - she’s too sophisticated for that,” Lagerfeld told fashion magazine The Cut, making us all feel even sillier compared to the cat that has it's own Instagram account.

We’ve heard of catwalks, but this is ridiculous.
