The internet has summed up 2017 in four words, and it's bleak

I think it’s safe to say that 2017 hasn’t been the best year in existence, has it? Lots of dubious, unpleasant and downright heinous things have happened this year, and I don’t think it’s asking much to hope that 2018 is even just slightly better. We’ve had to endure terrorist attacks, a load of Brexit bullshit, Trump gaining office and yet another Pirates of the Caribbean film.

So what Twitter did was address the whole debacle using one of those ‘hashtag’ things that you’ve probably heard the kids going on about, namely: #2017in4words. And unfortunately, the results weren’t pretty - here’s a selection of the best:
