Incredible New Reflective Spray For Cyclists
30 March 2015

Most people in London will know someone who’s had a near miss when cycling in the city. No matter how careful or vigilant you are, accidents do happen. And more often than they should. So anything that makes it safer to hop on your bike is always good thing.

Car manufacturers Volvo have continued their long tradition of safety by inventing a very good thing called LifePaint. Working alongside UK design team Grey London, Volvo have created a water based reflective spray that is only visible at night and washes off after about ten days.

The spray can be applied to clothes, helmets, shoes, backpacks, and even dog leashes, making everything reflective and also look ever so slightly like you’re going to an early ‘90s acid house rave just off the M6.

In this sobering video, cyclists talk about the dangers they face every day and how anything that makes them stand out is likely to save lives. LifePaint is currently only available from six shops in London and Kent, but Volvo says if it goes well then distribution will be increased.

Truly outstanding work from Volvo.
