Incredible glass yacht

It's pretty hard to keep up with the yacht scene these days. If it's not hot tubs you can land a helicopter on, it's sails that double as solar panels. The latest luxury liner is the submariner equivalent of a skyscraper.

GLASS is the brainchild of Lujac Desaulet - a 22-year-old design from San Francisco who's probably just made you feel deeply inadequate.

Nominated for Young Designer of the Year by Boat International Media, GLASS was commissioned by an unnamed world renowned composer (Zimmer?), who specifically requested its SWATH (Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull) design. By ensuring the weight-baring structure runs through the craft's centre, the skyscraper-inspired glass walls of the yacht offer panoramic views, allowing unblocked views of the ocean horizon and oncoming icebergs.

Having evolved from a shape designed with Lego bricks, the GLASS features a ball room, pool, lift system and an aft deck that can be lowered into the ocean. If you have faith in a boat made of glass and fancy one of your own, your best bet is to start befriending wealthy composers.
