Here's What Tinder Would Look Like In The 80s

"Wouldn't life be simpler without...?" is an oft-overheard complaint of the Millennial generation, eager to moan (usually via Twitter) about the apparent complexities of their digitally-driven life.

Yet take away their wi-fi connection for five minutes and their world falls apart. They don't know the pain of dial-up modems, of having to wait a whole week to watch the next episode of their favourite TV show, or the patience required for putting together your own road trip mix tape.

Imagine their horror at having to boot up this '80s edition of Tinder to find a nearby fancy. The creation of retro-obsessive YouTubers SquirrelMonkeyComTinder in the 1980s is a nostalgia-laden spoof of the modern dating experience through the lens of archaic technology. No swipes and no picture uploads - it would probably be easier finding a date in the terrifying real world.

It begs the question though - what current tech are future generations going to mock in similar fashion? "You used to find out what was going on in the world by manually updating 140 character updates? That's insane..."
