Here's how to get rid of those annoying 'Be Like Bill' Facebook posts
25 January 2016

It was good at first.

Accurate, funny on occasion; a nice way of telling people to be nice to each other on the internet.

Or to keep things in perspective:

Or to encourage you to not be so annoying on social media:

But now, perspective is something that has been very much lost on the seemingly-unstoppable internet meme of Bill, the sense-speaking stick figure, who is now - ironically - becoming incredibly annoying himself, being used for people to passive-aggressively complain about everyone and everything that people do online. Frankly, he's turning into a sanctimonious, whining idiot and these guys have it about right:

Fortunately, a tool is at hand to enable you to give Bill the final heave-ho - whenever you see one of the offending posts, click on the option arrow in the top right-hand corner of the post and look for the option to 'hide all' from the app creating these annoying posts. Granted, it won't work every time - if it's a self-created image, rather than one made using an app, then you're going to have to silently, seethingly, scroll past it - but it's better than nothing isn't it?

Just leave us alone Bill, and go back to your own smug little life.
