The coolest ever Star Wars toy is too expensive to play with

Look at it. Drink it in.

Chances are you're never going to touch this fine mass of plastic. Part of Hasbro's line up of official Star Wars: The Force Awakens merchandise unveiled at the recent Comic-Con, this TIE Fighter measures a shelf-filling 26 inches in height, accompanied by a detailed 6-inch pilot.

The price? It's on the Dark Side of £100, with the current US price listed at $169.99 (£110). This is how big it is.

Part of Hasbro's 'First Order' line (an armed movement that forms itself from the ruins of the fallen Empire), this First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter has a significant role in the latest teaser for The Force Awakens, appearing to have crash-landed on a desert-covered planet (Tatooine?).

We'll allow you to begin speculating on the TIE Fighter's possible significance below.

And if you do splash out on the toy when it arrives in the UK (release date yet to be announced), be sure to buy two: one to "play" with, and one to leave in its box collecting dust before earning you big cash in 2050.
