Dining Pool Table

When is a dining table not a dining table? When it’s a pool table of course. Allow us to explain: throughout history men have desired games rooms – a space to kick back and bask in the glory of unbridled masculinity.

Unfortunately, in these straitened economic times, an entire loft, cellar or west wing dedicated to such pursuits isn’t always viable. So praise be for the Fusiontable. By day it’s a sleek, ultra-modern dining table; by night, however, it’s transformed into a magnificent pool table.

The clever bods at Belgian company Saluc (under its Aramith trademark) are behind this eureka design and that’s not where the ingenuity begins and ends. A spring-assisted Easy-Lift system allows the table to be raised from conventional dining height to optimum pool-playing height, and the void between the top of the table and the slate of the pool surface allows cues and racks to be hidden and stored.

We think we have fallen in love.
