It's that sickening time of the day when we tell you about a new deep-fried foodstuff.
Today's item on the coronary menu is the English breakfast sandwich, which has been slathered with batter, plunged into oil and comes out bearing over 1,200 calories (that's half of your daily allowance in one go).
The "snack" was created in New York at the Chip Shop in Park Slope, Brooklyn and is made up of white bread, bacon, egg and mushroom all dipped in chip shop batter and deep fried.
The chippy-owner also deep fried a bacon and cheese-filled pumpkin for Halloween which went down a storm. But oranges aren’t allowed in the fryer because they explode.
He told The Sun: “We like to experiment and a battered breakfast seemed like a good idea for a treat.
“Fish and chips is still my favourite though.”
