Well, they always say that to really appreciate art, it's best to try and interact with it.

Unfortunately, this was probably not quite what they had in mind.

A 12-year-old boy who was wandering around an art exhibition in Taipei, Taiwan, accidentally tripped and put his fist through a 350-year-old painting worth at least £1m. The oil painting, titled 'Flowers', by the 17th Century artist Paolo Porpora, was on display as part of the Face of Leonardo, Images of a Genius exhibition in the city.

However, it could have been worse - the boy was holding a drink as he went through, but narrowly managed to avoid spilling it. The curator of the exhibition, Sun Chi-hsuan, said that the boy was nervous afterwards, but said that he shouldn't be blamed for what was an accident. The painting was insured as part of a private collection

Maybe he just didn't like flowers. Best not take him to the Van Gogh exhibition, just to be safe...
