Billionaire Claims To Be Getting Younger

Billionaire Claims To Be Getting Younger

Billionaire Claims To Be Getting Younger
27 February 2014

Is it a real life case of Benjamin Button? Or is it a case of pure delusion? A billionaire has claimed that he has reversed the ageing process and is actually getting younger.

Bahamas-based fashion designer Peter Nygard has been using stem cell treatments for years, and claims that they are working.

At a Stem Cell conference in Freeport, Bahamas, he stated that “Stem cells are being used for anti-ageing and the University of Miami is doing a study about that to prove that it is true. They are looking at me, and my markers have shown exactly that I have been actually reversing my ageing and getting younger.”

He went on, adding that, “I am taking perhaps more stem cell treatment than anybody else in the world. I have been doing it for four years now, so I am sort of a testimonial that this stem cell really works.”

The STEMSO Conference is part of Bahamas' efforts to become the world centre of stem cell treatment, with its Prime Minister Perry Christie pushing through legislation to support research and therapy.

Stem cells have previously been used to repair damaged organs and tissues successfully, but no one has previously claimed that they can actually reverse the ageing process - time will tell if Nygard is correct, or whether it is simply wishful thinking.
