America and Britain. A common history, a common language. But ever since 1783, rather different approaches to life.
America loves guns, Britain not so much. Britain loves sarcasm, America not so much.
But we've rarely seen the 'weird things' that British people do spelt out quite as clearly as in this series of Twitter posts from an American student, who then seemingly received some choice words from the defensive Brits in response.
For that, we apologise, for nothing is quite as un-British as not being being able to stoically laugh at oneself.
