Amazing time-lapse of NYC commuters

Time does funny things when you're on your commute. We're pretty sure Stephen Hawking said that it passes more slowly relative to the distance being travelled on public transport, but then Stephen Hawking says a lot of stuff that we don't understand.

Adam Magyar likes to do funny things with time as well, bending our perception of it, as this amazing time-lapse of New York City's underground demonstrates. The self-taught photographer and techno whiz is so dedicated to his art that he's designed his own camera rigs, noise cancelling technology and editing software to capture the most stunning slow-motion sequences we've ever seen.

The following excerpt is taken from his latest short Stainless, at 24-minute exploration of New York City and its subway. We'll be checking it out in full next time we're stuck on a bus headed to last Tuesday.
