Airplane food goes luxury

For those of us who don't have a spare gazillion pounds to spend on a first class plane ticket, airline food can be a soul-destroying downer. For those who can afford it, you can stop reading now and go burn some gold or something.

Aiming to help the normals who sit in economy, design firm Postler Ferguson have come up with a concept which aims to turn the eating in the air into an actual, pleasurable experience.

The Brotzeit proposal involves numerous compartments, each with various meal elements inside. The food would be sourced from local manufacturers, rather than a prison canteen, and the emphasis would be on health and great taste.
