A couple called the police because their cat held them hostage
27 June 2016

If you're a dog person: congratulations. Come in and enjoy a little slice of validation accompanied with a sweet sip of I-told-you-so. If you're a cat person: you're wrong. You're wrong and you should stop now.

This is because last week a Wisconsin couple rang the emergency services after being held hostage by their pet cat.

“This is going to sound like a strange question, but we have a cat and it’s going crazy and it’s attacked my husband, we’re kind of hostages in our own house," said the woman speaking to the 911 operator.

"We're just wondering who we should call to do something, get rid of the cat or help us," the woman - who had apparently never heard of doors - went on.

Not much else is known about the cat's weapons or motives, but CBS did report that it was taken away and turned over to Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC).

So that's a thing. A thing that happened. Do us a favour and add it to the master list of "Things That Signify The Imminent End Of The World". Thanks.
