8-bit Matrix

For a movie based on the idea that we all essentially live in a computer (to paraphrase The Wachowski Brothers), it's entirely fitting that The Matrix should be recreated as an 8-bit video game.

The Dutton Brothers, aka Cinefix, have worked their stunning magic again, transforming the Keanu Reeves-starring 1999 science-fiction thriller into an old school 8-bit romp, with Neo progressing through training steps into a final boss scene.

It works so perfectly that the campaign to get this made for a NES emulator begins right here.

Watch and enjoy, and check out more 8-bit versions of classic movies in the links below the clip.
