50 years of Christmas toys

The ageing process carries three unfortunate certainties: weaker joints, loss of hair and a severe reduction in the cool-factor of Christmas presents.

Which is a shame since, as this chart from Abby Ryan Design proves, Christmas toys are exceedingly cool no matter what the year (though 2009 is open for debate).

Based on no market research or determining factors other than their personal preference, Abby Ryan Design have selected "some" of the most popular toys from the last 50 Christmases, including 1967's Battleships (ruined having lost both cruisers and a tug by Boxing Day), 1980's Rubik's Cube (never completed) and 1989's Game Boy (still going strong).
