Turkeys rescued from barn fire

Some 100 turkeys have been rescued from a barn fire in the Forest of Dean, in the UK.

The birds were removed to safety away from the blaze which has "severely damaged" the barn, a tractor and a combine harvester in the Mitcheldean area of Gloucestershire.

The Fire and Rescue Service said it received several calls at 04:15 GMT and five fire engines were sent to Jubilee Road.

Fire crews also removed some gas cylinders from the barn which contained 50 tonnes of hay.

The cause of the fire has not yet been established.
