Plenty of properties out there boast of good transport links, but this one really means it.

A house in Snowdonia National Park in Wales has come on to the market that comes complete with its own private train stop.

The five-bedroom stone house, is on the market for £425,000 and features a 'halt', where the residents can flag down passing trains on the Talyllyn steam railway, which runs between Abergynolwyn and the seaside village of Tywyn.

The current owners, Tim and Jill Winterton, have been in the property since 1975, but are leaving as the house is too big for them, now that their children have left home.

Their daughter Shane Flutter said, "It was the most magical place to enjoy a childhood. At the bottom of the fields in the valley is the railway and there is a small halt there. Any time people came to stay we would go down to the railway and jump on the train up to the Dolgogh waterfalls nearby or up to Abergynolwyn."

Halts were formerly a common feature of Britain's railways, being forerunner to more formal, established stations; this particular one was created around 1900 to serve the farm.

Now, if they just installed a helipad as well, you'd be completely covered for any transport eventuality.
