Hipsters Ruin Coffee Forever

Coffee in a test tube? No, thank you.

Those hipsters have finally gone too far (actually they went too far ages ago and are now just flicking V signs at us).

Not content with clogging up the roads with their penny farthings and flicking you in the face with their Lord Kitchener moustaches, now they’re trying to ruin coffee.

Twitter user Incredibly Rich alerted us and the world to hipsterdom's latest crime by posting a picture that can only be described as an abomination against nature. Or at least a good brew.

There are so many questions: why is the sodding coffee in a sodding test tube? Where would you even source something like that? Who imagined this wasn't a truly appalling idea?

Luckily, another twitterer Notorious CTP had an answer/excuse:

Apparently this is what (pretentious) people call ‘deconstructed’. But, isn’t constructing the coffee precisely what you pay coffee shops for? Also, all coffee is deconstructed until you bloody make it.

No matter how much nicer this test tube makes your coffee taste – even if it somehow cured cancer and ended world poverty – it wouldn’t be worth the excruciatingly self-conscious ‘trendiness’ of it.

We’ll settle for our own deconstructed coffee thanks – it’s called Nescafe Gold Blend.
