It'll be all white on the night

Watch this newsreader have a meltdown because colleague has the same colour dress

Well this is just superbly awkward.

Leaked footage of an Australian newsreader having a tantrum because her colleague was wearing the same colour dress as her has gone viral, and it’s truly glorious.

Channel Nine’s Amber Sherlock was preparing to host a ‘chatroom’ segment, featuring a guest psychologist, Sandy Rae, and her colleague Julie Snook and, when she realised that they were all in white, proceeded to go off on one; lecturing and criticising Snook; repeatedly chastising her for not listening to her request (“two and a half hours ago”) to wear a different coloured outfit. Snook, to her credit, manages to stay calm and not react, eventually finding a different coloured jacket to wear.

Sherlock has now apologised for her behaviour, making the slightly dubious claim that “Live TV can be a pretty stressful beast, at times”. Try joining the army Amber.

She added, “As anyone knows, it's never much fun rocking up to work or to a party in the same outfit as one of your colleagues or friends. I probably overreacted with the pressure of presenting a live news bulletin.” You could say that, yeah.

Snook refused to crticise her colleague, saying “What can I say? Amber and I just really love white! 'Amber and I are good friends and I really enjoy working with her. News is a fast moving environment and sometimes these things happen.”

It’s not known who leaked the footage, but safe to say someone at Channel Nine is not happy with Sherlock’s attitude...
