There’s been a soundtrack announced for Netflix’s Stranger Things

Yet to discover the brilliance of Netflix’s Stranger Things? You’re missing out.

Revolving around the odd goings on in a small town when a young boy goes missing and his pals try to find him, this eighties-set supernatural thriller is positively dripping in pop culture. Think E.T. meets Super 8 on steroids.

There’s the power hair, the fashion, the clunky technology, the Drew Struzan-style artwork and of course the music…

And while songs by artists of the era like The Clash set the mood, it pales in significance to the synth-heavy score at the heart of the show. Produced by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein of Austin band SURVIVE, it’s an absolute nostalgia-tinged joy - and it’s now getting a standalone release.

Writing on the show’s Facebook page, Dixon and Stein claimed the soundtrack is "coming soon". Not a million miles from the recent electro goodness of Kavinsky, it really will be a record to phone home about.
