The recent announcements for the Crystal Maze revival as a live immersive experience quite rightly sent the world into a nostalgia craving mass of excitable children.

We collectively lost our minds over the possible chance of running amok in the Aztec, Medieval, Futuristic and Ocean zones - not to mention the frustratingly grabby task of stepping into the Dome.

It’s basically like every single dream you ever had as a child – the only downside being that it was likely to be a limited opportunity with a very fast end date.

Well good news. The organisers of the event are so confident that it’ll be awesome (because it probably will) that they’re already talking about making it into a permanent thing.

You’ll be able to visit The Crystal Maze, whenever the hell you want like some kind of puzzle based 90s theme park. No confirmation whether bald-headed presenter Richard O’Brian will also be a permanent fixture but, hey, you can’t have everything.
