“Go on, just one more."

Much like Harvey Keitel selling his soul for lackadaisical home insurance ads, it’s all too easy to get hooked on a Netflix show: you start with one, move onto another and before you know it you're wiping the drool from the arm of your sofa and sprinting out of the front door to work in yesterday's clothes.

Although there's no exact science to how many episodes are needed for a series to draw us in, the streaming giant has now used its global streaming data to pinpoint the exact episodes that got us addicted to its recent shows - or, to put it another way, the episode that kept 70 per cent of viewers watching through to a first season's end.

You might want to show this to your boss the next time you fall asleep in a meeting. Important stuff.
