Mouthwatering Trailer For New Netflix Food Show Chef’s Table

There’s been a significant change in cookery programmes over the last few years. Once, Gordon Ramsey was king, spraying spittle-flecked invective over our screens and the faces of incompetent cooks. Now, finally, the renaissance has come.

Cookery programmes are no longer sweary reality shows, they’re arts programmes. And this month, Netflix will be showing Chef’s Table, a programme about food as high art and the chef’s as old masters. The documentary series will be going inside the lives and kitchens of six of the world's best chefs, including Ben Shewry, Dan Barber and Massimo Bottura.

In the new trailer we get classical music over plates of food that look as if they should be locked away in Southeby’s. The video will either make you very hungry or desperate for a trip to the National Gallery.

All six episodes will be available on Netflix from 26th April
