Kit Harington's auditions for other 'Game of Thrones' roles are hilariously terrible

He should definitely stick to Jon Snow

Kit Harington's auditions for other 'Game of Thrones' roles are hilariously terrible
11 July 2017

We do – very occasionally – get a bit of light relief in Game of Thrones – the odd moment of humour that cuts through all the fire and castration and death.

As Jon Snow, however, Kit Harington is very rarely the man to provide it.

“That was funny… are you sure that’s you in there?” Edd cheekily asked Jon after his Lord Commander cracked a rare joke shortly after being revived by Melisandre at the beginning of season six – Harington’s chances to bring a few laughs to his role are few and far between – Jon is a moody bastard, and we love him for it.

But Kit’s clearly fed up with always playing the straight guy – so he’s decided to ditch Jon Snow and try his hand at a few of Game of Thrones’ other most famous roles.

In a sketch with Jimmy Kimmel, he filmed a series of mock audition trying out as the likes of Cersei, Daenerys, Hodor and… Harry Potter. And Kit, it turns out, has a great eye for comedy.

Tackling Cersei first, with a wig on his head and glass of wine in his hand, of course, he says: “When you play the game of thrones you win, or you die… Now if you’ll excuse me I need to go and have sex with my brother.”

He then stumbled in on his knees pretending to be Arya and accidentally shoots the cameraman with a toy bow and arrow as Ygritte.

He actually pulls of a very convincing Hodor – there aren’t exactly many lines to mess up – but the highlight is definitely his turn as Daenerys, speaking sultrily into the camera before whipping open his gown to reveal a fake pair of breasts.

As for the Harry Potter bit at the end… well… you just need to watch it.

If you’re reading this, you probably don’t need reminding that Game of Thrones is back on our screens THIS SUNDAY. Five days! Look out for our predictions for everything season seven related later in the week.
