Still going cold turkey after binge watching the entire series of Better Call Saul in one sitting? Calm down - your latest Netflix-shaped fix is well on the way, and it promises to be the most addictive show yet...

Here we can exclusively reveal that the Netflix original series Narcos, chronicling the gripping real life drug kingpins of the late eighties, will premiere at 8am on 28 August.

Exploding in a flurry of coke-strewn action, the 10-episode series will recreate the battles between the nefarious drug lords of South America and the corroborative efforts of international law enforcement - legal, political, police, military, civilian - to bring them to justice. As the bloody bodies and dirty cash piled up, the spectacle grows into a sprawling drama loaded with action.

Wagner Moura (Elite Squad,Elysium and soon to be 1/6 of Antoine Fuqua’s Magnificent Seven reboot) stars as the notorious Pablo Escobar, while Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) and Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl, Run All Night, pictured above) plays Steve Murphy, one real life DEA agent sent to Colombia as part of a US mission to capture or kill Escobar.

Take a look the Moura's public enemy number one in the exclusive images above. That sneer? Chilling.

Best cancel any summer holidays.
