It’s a wrap. It’s done. Game of Thrones has officially finished filming its final scenes.

According to insider information on fan site Watchers on the Wall, the cameras stopped rolling late last week.

Surviving stars of the show, including our boy Kit, were even seen strolling into a cast wrap party in Belfast.

And from what we can gather, it looks like the end of our beloved GoT will be bloodier and filled with more soul-crushing doom than anything we’ve seen before.

The first clue comes from reporter Chris Hagan, who snapped this pic of smoke steaming out of the King’s Landing set. “Smoke again on the Game of Thrones set in Belfast this morning again,” he said.

And then there’s the gory pic shared by Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) on Instagram, showing her shoes absolutely soaked with blood.

The caption read: “goodbye belfast. goodbye arya. goodbye game of thrones. what a joy i’ve had. here’s to the adventures to come #lastwomanstanding #barely #immasleepforthenextfouryears #justkiddingidontsleep”

Interesting little note here: when she says ‘#lastwomanstanding’ is she actually dropping a massive hint that Arya survives until the very bitter end? Could she even make a surprise move to take the Iron Throne for herself? It would certainly be a left-field turn for her character but this is Game of Thrones we’re talking about so nothing’s off the table.

Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) has also reaffirmed that the final season is going to get real, disgustingly bloody.

“I can tell you that there’s definitely a coming together of people. Everyone is coming together to fight the impending doom,” she told Gold Derby.

“There’s a lot of tension between these little groups, battling for what they think is right. It’s Game of Thrones, so it’s going to be bloodier and more death and more emotionally torturous than all the years before!”

Blood and emotional torture?! Oh, Game of Thrones you really know how to spoil us.

The final season will air in 2019.
