A lovely collection of all the BBC One festive adverts from 1974 until now

It’s Christmas now, didn’t you know? Of course you did - you’ve known since October, when Christmas actually starts. Or if you work, for example, in media, then you will have known since June, when you start to receive your first Christmas emails! It’s Christmas all year round! It never ends! IT NEVER EVER ENDS!

Anyway, if despite all this, you still like Christmas, then the following video will please you. It’s a collection of all those cute Christmas idents (the bits before TV shows start) aired on BBC One since 1974:

That’s nice, ain’t it? Made you feel all warm and sparkly? Want some cheese now, do you? Well, that is the desired effect, so don’t worry, no need to call a doctor or anything. To be honest, you don’t ever need to call the doctor if you want some cheese - just have it, in our opinion.

Anyway, happy Cheesemas or whatever it’s called!
