Did you spot these sneaky celebrity cameos in ‘Black Mirror’ Season 4

If you’re a fan of Black Mirror, you’ll be no stranger to its blink-and-you’ll-miss-them moments.

The fourth season of the show came to Netflix at the end of December, and there has already been time for all the links between episodes of the dystopian programme to be mapped out.

Charlie Brooker’s creation was one of the most-binged shows of the last 12 months, and for good reason – you’re kept on your toes throughout, and you even get to show off by spotting things that others missed.

And Season 4 added something else to the mix: in addition to those subtle references to earlier episodes, there were a couple of cameos from A-list celebrities which might have passed you by on first viewing.

Now, we’re not talking about folks you recognised from somewhere but couldn’t put your finger on.

Besides, those actors – Breaking Bad’s Jesse Plemons and Birdman’s Andrea Riseborough, to name but two – have larger roles. Instead, we’re talking about stars who appear just once, and in what might be an unfamiliar manner.

If you want to avoid some very light spoilers, stop reading here. If you’ve already watched the six new episodes and want to find out if you saw what you think you saw, carry on.

“Hey, isn’t that Kirsten Dunst?”

Both cameos concern the ‘U.S.S. Callister’ episode, starring Plemons.

His Breaking Bad co-star Aaron Paul has a small cameo, as the voice of ‘Gamer691’, while there’s a scene earlier in the episode where none other than Kirsten Dunst can be spotted in the background.

Dunst’s appearance becomes less surprising when you realise she’s engaged to Plemons, but it’s still a cool little cameo anyone could easily have missed.

Go on, watch it back and see for yourself.
