Netflix's Black Mirror series four finally has a release date

And it can't come soon enough

Netflix's Black Mirror series four finally has a release date
06 December 2017

The new series of Black Mirror finally has a confirmed release date. Charlie Brooker’s warped anthology series will be returning to Netflix on… wait for it… December 29th.

All six episodes of the new series will drop on the streaming platform that day, and Brooker has promised that this series goes even further than the show’s gone in the past. Given that the first ever episode of Black Mirror involved the Prime Minister having sex with a pig, that could pretty much mean anything. The date announcement above features snippets of all the episode trailers, but if you missed them, here you go…

Arkangel, directed by Jodie Foster, is up first, looking at the dark side of parenting…

Crocodile looks at memory in what certainly seems like it’ll be a fairly haunting way.

Hang The DJ enters the world of dating apps, which seems like it couldn’t possibly be horrific and depressing, right?

USS Callister is part Star Trek homage, part Star Trek spoof, that is sure to be really fun for the first two thirds or so then probably end up absolutely fucking devastating.

Metalhead appears to be (a) in black and white and (b) full-on terrifying. Which is nice.

Black Museum features a titular collection of macabre objects – “Chances are, if it did something bad, it’s in here…” – and dives into people’s endless fascination with horrendous true crime stories.

THEY’RE ALL ON NETFLIX ON DECEMBER 29TH AND THEY’RE PROBABLY ALL REALLY UPSETTING, SO THANKS, CHARLIE BROOKER.
