Another Silence of the Lambs TV show planned

Now there's absolutely no denying that Hannibal Lector is one of the most deservedly iconic characters ever to grace the page and screen.

But we've now had five, count them five, cinematic outings and there's a TV show on the way. Just in case that's not already seen as overkill, there's another series in development.

While the first show Hannibal, premiering on NBC in the US this autumn, centres on the relationship between Lector and Will Graham, the new offering will be based on Clarice Starling.

Titled, you guessed it, Clarice, the show will focus on the adventures of the young FBI agent as she leaves the academy. So, in other words, it'll take place in-between The Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal. It's set to premiere on Lifetime, typically known for female-focused TV movies such as Crimes of Passion: She Woke Up Pregnant and My Stepson, My Lover. We'll try and keep an open mind though. Promise.

Both shows should hit UK screens by 2013.
