I Hate Monkeys
Worth: 15pts/Bronze trophy
Description: Kill seven monkeys in under 10 seconds in the Rebirth labs.
The type of achievement that will send the Daily Mail into a frothing ‘ban this sick game’ rage, because it’s a new stick to beat it with, rather than the same old ‘too violent’ argument. On mission 13 ‘Rebirth’ drop a couple of grenades in the corner then let rip with your shotgun.
Russian Bar-B-Q
Worth: 15pts/Bronze trophy
Description: Incinerate 10 enemies with the flamethrower attachment in the POW compound.
The key to getting this is ensuring you’ve actually got the flamethrower. Search the enemies you slaughter just before you enter the POW camp on the 12th mission ‘Payback’. One of them will have dropped an AK-47 with the attachment. Then it’s simply a case of lighting up.
No Leaks
Worth: 50 pts/Silver trophy
Description: Make it through the NOVA 6 gas without dying.
Halfway through ‘Project Nova’ (mission eight) you’re given a haz-mat suit. This basically removes your regenerating health – you get shot enough, you die. No hiding until you’re back at full strength. So keep your head down and try not to get shot. A quick switch to the Recruit difficulty is definitely recommended.
Double Whammy
Worth: 15 pts/Bronze trophy
Description: Destroy both helicopters with one TOW guided missile from the deck of the ship.
Located on the final mission, this involves accuracy and timing. Press fire at the exact moment the rocket is positioned between the two choppers and hope they’re close enough together.
Death To Dictators
Worth: 15pts/Bronze trophy
Description: Take down Castro with a headshot
On the first mission you have to kill Castro. Just make sure you aim high and the achievement will pop.
