Why you need to know about the amazing sport of Disc-Golf

Think you're pretty nifty with a frisbee?

Not in a "throw it back and forth across a garden 12 times without dropping it" way. Nifty as in, "knock a drink out a friend's hand from 20 metres".

If you possess the latter skills, you might want to try your hand (or whole arm in fact) at Disc Golf - a sport that's bound to garner some new attention thanks to the following internet sensation.

It shows one Dave Feldberg, a professional disc golfer who's previously ranked at the lofty height of third in the world, playing the third hole of the 2015 Maple Hill Open. The aim of the sport - if you weren't able to determine it from its name - sees players throw a disc into an open sided basket, progressing along 18-hole courses in a similar manner to golf.

The third hole of the Maple Hill Open boasts a tricky line, which requires players to navigate an avenue of trees. Most would look to land their first shot in line with the final hole, but Feldberg managed to pull off something that we're still struggling to understand.

If you need us, we'll be at the park practising throwing a frisbee in a bin from an increasing distance.
