Who Said It: Footballer Or Philosopher?

It was Aristotle who once said "Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom".

At least we think it was. The left back from a little-known Conference club tweeted something quite similar recently, and we're at a loss to know who to attribute it to.

Ever since the beautiful game became the darling of back pages and book deals, it's been an unquenchable source of pseudo wisdom and nonsensical sophistry - whether its gentleman managers becoming misty eyed in a press conference or hooligan players attempting to add some gravitas to their Twitter accounts.

To illustrate the depths of wisdom spouted by the game's great thinkers, we've compiled a quiz that tests to see if you can spot the difference between the words of a footballer and a genuine philosopher.
