'Fess up. Who left Football Manager running last night?
With Tottenham held to a 2-2 draw in a fiery contest at Stamford Bridge, little old Leicester did the unthinkable, winning the Premier League at 5,000-1 odds and sending the city into rapture.
And as the entire population seemingly squeezed into Jamie Vardy’s gaff, it was left to Twitter to offer the greatest plaudits to the feat, with tributes, both very silly and very emotional, pouring in from across the footballing world.
It’s the year of the underfox.
I hope Leicester turn up pissed to their next two fixtures. Kick it in their own net for a laugh. Lap of honour mid-game. Properly milk it.— Raj Bains (@BainsXIII) May 2, 2016
American Journalists! Leicester is pronounced LES-TER Not Lie - ces - ter. It is not a never heard of city. Or small or just full of cheese.— Richard III (@richard_third) May 3, 2016
