Win a dream training trip

Haven’t signed up to the ShortList Triathlon yet? Why not? The very fact that you’re reading this page must mean that you’re at least a little bit interested.

Perhaps you haven’t done a triathlon before? No problem. The fact that this will be covering Sprint distances means that you don’t have to have the fitness of an Olympian to complete it – just a mere 750m swim, 21.2km bike ride and 5km run.

Perhaps you’re sure you want to take part but haven’t got around to actually signing up yet? Well, procrastinate at your peril, because every person who signs up and pays their £68 per person entrance fee by 24 April will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win a three-night trip for two to St Moritz, Switzerland. It’s a country perfectly suited to triathlon training, as it offers challenging bike courses, interesting running routes and beautiful lake swims, which is why it’s been used by Olympians for years.

The prize comes courtesy of Switzerland Tourism, which has teamed up with Engadin St Moritz and Hotel Laudinella, where the winner and a friend will fly from London to Zurich, enjoy a scenic first class rail transfer to St Moritz and stay for three nights’ bed and breakfast in Hotel Laudinella with beautiful mountain views. The hotel has six restaurants, two bars and a takeaway to choose from, plus it’s walking distance to Lake St Moritz and facilities for most summer and winter sports. You’ll have free mountain railway and cable cars to explore, plus access to the hotel’s wellness centre, which has a steam bath, sauna and fitness room.

And if you wait, and think about it, and forget about it for a while and end up signing up after 24 April? Bad luck.

Prize sponsored by Switzerland Tourism, Engadin St Moritz and Hotel Laudinella.
