Evil Knievel made his name jumping over double-decker buses, but he was assisted by a 90 horsepower motorbike.
English champion long jumper JJ Jegede had only natural human athleticism to launch himself over 3 Minis spanning 20 feet, but managed it with ease.
The stunt was held to mark the launch of a special London 2012 version of the classic Mini, of which only 2,012 will be made.
Jegede wanted to contextualise the huge distances that modern long jumpers are capable of travelling; his personal best is in fact 8.04 metres (26 feet). To put it another way, that's 4 Peter Crouches.
And he's not mini.
