“We would all do it”: The cast of ‘Parks and Rec’ are up for a revival – on one condition
25 May 2018

This is truly the season of TV reboots; Will & Grace and the X Files have made comebacks while The Office is rumoured to be on the way. And don’t forget about Lord of the Rings, which is being brought back but in the form of a mega-budget Amazon TV series.

And now it looks like one of our favourite comedies Parks and Recreation could be joining this revival trend.

The cast of the NBC comedy, which ran from 2009-2015, are all apparently on board.

Speaking on Ellen, actress and comedian Amy Poehler – who played Leslie Knope - revealed: “I’ll speak for everybody and say we would all do it. We would all do it someday.”

We would so totally be on board with this.

And her former co-star Nick Offerman, aka Ron Swanson, confirmed his excitement for a revival – but on one very big condition.

“We said that if Beyoncé will play mayor, we’ll bring the show back,” Offerman joked. “This is Beyoncé Knowles, the singer.”

Sounds far-fetched but the Queen B can, in fact, act – as she proved in Dreamgirls and her comedy turn in Austin Powers.

Come on NBC, you just saved Brooklyn 99. Why not shell out a bit more cash and give us another hilarious trip to Pawnee, Indiana?
