What’s the story? 2016 has begun and we were expecting to be met with a deluge of new tunes from hotly-tipped acts for the coming year. Sadly, everyone seems to have been too busy eating turkey over the festive period, so we kick off the year with a bit of a late gem from last year which is rapidly gaining traction as it spreads across the web. Retro Culture is the project of Melbourne artist and producer Matt Connelly and Cold is a wonderful piece of dark, dreamy 'slow' house, for want of a better term. Connelly's unforced vocals are welcoming, and the tropical house bleeps that pop in and out give the track its movement. It's very stylistically similar to another recent favourite of ours from LOYAL - you should check them both out immediately.
