Who? Mystery Jets

What’s the story? Mystery Jets return with the lead single from what is - rather incredibly - their sixth album. It seems like a long time since their 2006 debut Making Dens, and in that time they've progressed musically, becoming ever more confident. Telomere (which, according to Wikipedia is "a region of repetitive nucleotide sequences at each end of a chromosome, which protects the end of the chromosome from deterioration or from fusion with neighboring chromosomes") is a supremely widescreen effort, with lead singer Blaine Harrison's vocals ringing out loud and clear. On this evidence, the upcoming record Curve of the Earth should be a must-listen.

For fans of: Maccabees, Spector

In three words: Stadium-sized indie
