The album cover may be a fantastic canvas for an unforgettable image, but it's still a limited one.
The biggest it's ever reached is the 12 inches of the old record sleeves (ask your dad) - but even then, it was just a snapshot of a wider scene. So what was really happening just beyond the edges of the record?
Creative digital agency Aptitude have allowed themselves to speculate what the rest of the scene of a host of classic album covers would look like; turns out that Off The Wall shoot wasn't quite a slick as it looked, and someone really should have looked after that Nevermind baby a bit more carefully.
