Who? Empire of the Sun

What’s the story? You'd be hard-pressed to find two more perfect pop songs than Walking on a Dream and We Are The People, the first couple of singles released in 2008 by the Australian electronic duo Empire of the Sun. Now, they're back with the first taste of third album Two Vines, due for release this October, and it's a track which harks back to those magic moments from their debut record, with the unmistakeable vocals of Luke Steele sitting atop a backing of gentle acoustic guitar, pop-house beats and soft electronics. It's hugely reminiscent of the work that fellow bandmember Nick Littlemore did as part of his other act Pnau's Elton John remix album Good Morning To The Night - and seeing as that was fantastic, so is this. Open the curtains, let the sunshine in and get this on your stereo.

For fans of: Pnau, Cut Copy, MGMT
