Dillon Francis is one of the hottest DJ/producers around at the moment, having caught the attention of Diplo before releasing tracks on his Mad Decent label, as well as Steve Aoki's Dim Mak.

After a host of singles over the past few years, his debut album Money Sucks, Friends Rule finally dropped this week, boasting collaborations with Martin Garrix, Major Lazer, Twista, DJ Snake and Panic! At The Disco's Brendon Urie - you can pick up a copy here.

In the meantime, we caught up with Dillon to discover his Ultimate Playlist, and the reasons behind the choices - read on for some huge tunes including an 80s icon and a 90s girl group.

Favourite ballad

"Phil Collins – In The Air Tonight. Why? The drum roll in it is so fucking good. I’d listen to that song just for the drum roll!"

Favourite movie soundtrack song

"The Crystal Method - Weapons of Mad Distortion. My favourite movie soundtrack would have to be Blade. It’s got this Crystal Method track in it during one of the main fight scenes. It’s one of the best fight scene songs ever."

Favourite song from your childhood

"Spice Girls - Wannabe. I just remember when Spice World came out in the US me and my friend Sam went to see it in the cinema with our brothers and we were obsessed with them. We each chose one Spice Girl that we wanted to marry. Mine was Ginger Spice. We weren’t really obsessed with their music, more with them but it is such a catchy song!"

Favourite song that no-one else has heard of

"Deadmau5 - October. I have this version of Deadmau5’ song October that Skrillex has worked on with CC Sheffield and it's her singing Raise Your Weapon on it and I don’t think that version has been heard by anyone yet."

Favourite club anthem

"At the moment it would have to be Boss Mode by Knife Party, it's such a good song - just a weird cool club song."

Favourite song to hear at a wedding

"Sugarhill Gang - Jump on It - because everyone just starts dancing like crazy when they hear it. Even the grandmas will be like ‘yeah Tonto jump on it!"

Favourite one-hit wonder

"Sugar Ray Fly. Everytime you hear it you automatically know what it is."

Favourite current song

"Goldroom Till Sunrise. It’s just this really slow, very happy drive-around song.  I listen to it every single day, probably 10 times a day, and I don’t get sick of it."

Favourite song from your own music

"It’d have to be my song Love in the Middle of a Firefight I did with Brendon Urie from Panic! at the Disco. To me it’s the coolest song. It’s my favourite instrumental I’ve ever made but then I also got one of my favourite artists to feature on it."
