It’s been almost ten years in the making, but finally, finally, fantasy fans can breathe a sigh of relief as epic blockbuster Warcraft: The Beginning gets its first full-length trailer.

Based on the highest-grossing video game franchise of all time, Warcraft sees an intense battle rage between humans (aka ‘the alliance’ for you die-hard fans) and orcs (or ‘the horde’). Originally, the movie had Sam ‘Evil Dead’ Raimi at the helm, but when he parted ways with the project, the Englishman behind 2009’s Moon, Duncan Jones, stepped into his giant boots to carry on where he left off. That little hiccup, coupled with the fact the film is just so mind-bogglingly massive, should go some way as to explain why it’ll be more than a decade before it finally sees its release on 3 June 2016.

Will it be worth the wait? Abso-flipping-lutely. Heading up the cast is Travis Fimmel, who may not be a household name, but given his form as axe-weilding ‘ard nut Ragnar Lothbrok in grossly underrated boxset Vikings, will spill a whole lotta green blood. Then there’s Tony Kebbell, who gave one on the best performances in any Brit film ever as Anthony in Shane Meadows’ thriller Dead Man’s Shoes. Round it all off with the fact that the score’s been written by the same guy behind the Game of Thrones intro music, and you know you’re on to a big gory winner.
