The bizarre world of Russian movie posters

It's easy to get bored with the repetitive nature of movie posters. We certainly have lately.

So it's understandable that, outside of the western world, people would leap at the chance to be more inventive. In Russia, rich entrepreneurs will often purchase films to be shown at rural cinemas and employ artists to create posters, loosely based on the originals.

However rich they may be, it seems that it's awfully hard to find a decent working artist in some parts of Russia. Here are some of our favourites:
